Note
Human rights Iran-style. This document will now be transmitted to the new UN Human Rights Council. It says: "The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran has always unquestionably distinguished between Jewish religion and Zionism...Jews constitute a respectable minority...In contrast, Zionism is an ideology based on hegemonic desires and political ambitions, articulated by colonial powers and artificially injected in the Middle East for their purposes." In other words, as long as Jews are a minority instead of a majority in their own state, they can live. But should Jews claim the right of self-determination as any other people, they are legitimate targets for murder ("wiped off the map") either by Iran or its terrorist surrogates. Response by the UN? Since the new Council will have a larger proportion of states from the Asian regional group than the old Commission, and the proportional representation of Western states will decrease, don't expect the Council to create a special rapporteur to investigate human rights violations by Iran.
