Human Rights Record of Afghanistan praised at UN's Top Rights Body

On January 27 and 31, 2014 the UN Human Rights Council reviewed the human rights situation in Afghanistan. The UN review mechanism, called the Universal Periodic Review (UPR), is touted as the Council's single most important innovation for protecting human rights.
