On December 14, 2015, at a UN conference convened by the UN's Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Jakarta "On the Question of Jerusalem", speakers analogized Israel to ISIS.
The UN press release on the conference includes: "A speaker from the Palestinian Cultural Organization of Malaysia said ... The Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant/Sham (ISIL/ISIS) eliminated their opposition brutally and Israel was doing the same in a more subtle manner, he declared... "
"Shawan Jabarin, General Director of Al-Haq - Law in the Service of Man, from Ramalla... In Jerusalem, a policy of ethnic cleansing was pushing Palestinians out of the city... Israeli authorities were now targeting children... States should cooperate with the International Criminal Court."
"Makarim Wibisono, UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967... 'The victims are the Palestinian mothers and fathers, sons and daughters for whom there is little or no recourse to justice in the face of ongoing violations...'" And justice for grieving Israeli mothers and fathers, sons and daughters? Didn't make it on to the UN "expert's" radar.
