The UN-NGO Connection:
A Global Platform to Spread Hate and Promote Terror

2008

UN-accredited NGOs disseminate the hatred of Jews and the Jewish state. It is a message which is diametrically opposed to the purposes and principles of the United Nations. Here are their words.

Inciting Hate or Encouraging Anti-Semitism

The UN accredits and associates with NGOs that espouse anti-semitism. The anti-semitism takes various forms: demeaning remarks about Jews, abhorrence of the presence of Jews or so-called "Judaization", minimizing the Holocaust, claiming anti-semitism is feigned or grossly exaggerated, attempting to appropriate the language of Jew-hatred and apply anti-semitism to Arabs, denying that anti-zionism or the denial of the right of Jewish self-determination is a form of anti-semitism, equating Zionism with racism (see also Section II). One favorite of UN-accredited or associated NGOs is to highlight self-hating Jews or Jewish anti-semites, or to represent that this tiny minority are the only liberal and decent Jews. Here is a sampling of the commentary made by UN accredited NGOs.

  • "Just as Israel inaugurated its misbegotten birth with genocidal ethnic cleansing sixty years ago, the evil brat of Zionism is marking its 60th anniversary with yet another spate of bloodletting."

(Excerpt from "An evil state that will disappear one day" in Friends of Al-Aqsa, May 1, 2008, Accredited by UN Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People)

  • "Israeli occupation: 1948-2008, a history of ethnic cleansing and genocide. On Sunday, 27 April, the Israeli "Defense" Forces (a more appropriate appellation would be the Jewish Wehrmacht) murdered a mother and her four children in Beit Hanoun, a northern Gaza suburb...The graphic, blood-splattered images of the mutilated children and their mother raised no eyebrows among Israeli leaders and the Zionist-Jewish public opinion. After all, these Nazi-minded and Nazi-hearted Zionists have been doing this for more than sixty years."

(Excerpt from "An evil state that will disappear one day" in Friends of Al-Aqsa, May 1, 2008, Accredited by UN Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People)

  • "...a Nazi-like Israeli occupation was a choice worth pursuing."

(Excerpt from "When it comes to Israel, Europe is hypocritical, submissive and obsequious" in Friends of Al-Aqsa, May 26, 2008, Accredited by UN Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People)

  • "Our report aims to uncover the Israeli efforts to Judaize the city of Jerusalem by destroying the Arab and Islamic features in the city. These efforts have been recently intensified; the process has been recently accelerated. This report is the last wakeup call to the world to rescue this iconic city from the intolerant and hateful ideology adopted by Israel against all non-Jewish in the city of Jerusalem and the rest of the occupied Palestinian territory. Israel is using military supremacy to systematically erase all non-Jewish characteristics of the city, especially Arab and Islamic features."

(Excerpt from "Fact Finding Mission in East Jerusalem" in Arab Commission for Human Rights, December, 2008, Accredited with Special Consultative Status with ECOSOC)

  • "It is common knowledge that the Israeli cabinet and its ministers have supported what has come to be known as 'transfer'; a politically correct term, for what is really nothing else but a disguise for ethnic cleansing! Israel is imposing 'facts on the ground', while distancing themselves, they believe, from these facts, and thus remain beyond international reproach...Have Jews everywhere forgotten the terrors of the Holocaust to such an extent, as to allow Israel to pursue, and inflict one on the Palestinian people? Or has the world forgotten the horrors of apartheid South Africa, to condone what is happening in Palestine today, everyday? Are we, all here today, really willing to allow history to condemn us for yet another in-action, another failure to stand up and say no more; another silence... To those of us, to whom much has been given, much is expected! The present day Holocaust of the Palestinian people, their dignity, and their struggle for freedom will not be cancelled, as the Jewish Holocaust was not, from history. Basic humanity impels us to make a stand, to shout from the roof-tops- NOT AGAIN, NO MORE!"

(Excerpt from "Welcome to EAFORD" in The International Organization for the Elimination of all Forms of Racial Discrimination (EAFORD), August 18, 2008, EAFORD's Written Statement to the Ninth Session of the Human Rights Council, Accredited with Special Consultative Status with ECOSOC and associated with DPI)

The Demonization of Israel

The UN accredits and associates with NGOs that demonize or incite hatred of Israel. The demonization takes various forms: analogizing Israelis to Nazis, maintaining Zionism or the right of self-determination of the Jewish people is a form of racism, alleging Israel is guilty of the worst human rights violations known to humankind - racism/apartheid, genocide, and ethnic cleansing, claiming that Jews are conspiring to destroy Muslim holy sites. Here is a sampling of the commentary made by UN accredited NGOs.

  • "How can you celebrate? The establishment of the State of Israel sixty years ago was a settler-colonial project that systematically and violently uprooted more than 750 thousand Palestinian Arabs from their lands and homes. Sixty years ago, Zionist militias and gangs ransacked Palestinian properties and destroyed hundreds of Palestinian villages. How can people of conscience celebrate this catastrophe?"

(Excerpt from Sixty Years of Dispossession and Ethnic Cleansing: Boycott the "Israel at 60" Celebrations! in Badil Resource Center, March 30, 2008. Accredited with Special Consultative Status with ECOSOC)

  • "For 60 years now, the state of Israel has implemented polices aimed at changing the demographic composition of Palestine and at stealing the land from the indigenous Palestinian population. A first massive forcible population transfer (ethnic cleansing) between 1947 (UN Partition Plan for Palestine) and 1949 (cease-fire agreements between Israel and Arab states), resulted in the Nakba (catastrophe) for the Palestinian people and in the creation of the Palestinian refugee question. Since then, oppression of Palestinian citizens and residents, and Israel's 40 years-old belligerent occupation of the West Bank, including Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip, have facilitated colonization of more Palestinian land and resulted in the displacement of more Palestinian people. Today, Israel's regime is an Apartheid-like regime over the entire historic Palestine. It denies exercise of the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people to freedom, self-determination and return of the refugees and internally displaced persons, and obstructs peace, security and development in the region."

(Excerpt from "Nakba-60" - a Campaign for Justice, Freedom & Return of the Palestinian People", November 29, 2007 – December 11, 2008, in Badil Resource Center, Accredited with Special Consultative Status with ECOSOC)

  • "Egyptian and Israeli scientists declared that Israel used fusion bombs containing heavy metals, which can cause among other things damage to fetuses, renal failure, and other deadly illnesses. The world was watching on television when Israel used white phosphorus bombs, which melted the human flesh and mutilated the human body especially around the jaw of the victim. Israel used the infamous depleted uranium, which will cause congenital defects, accelerated aging, and high cancer rates among children for years to come."

(Excerpt from "Fact Finding Mission in East Jerusalem" in Arab Commission for Human Rights, December, 2008, Accredited with Special Consultative Status with ECOSOC)

  • "In recent months and years, European leaders from Germany's Merkel, to France's Sarkozy, to Britain's Brown and Italy's Berlusconi were shamelessly pandering to Israeli savagery to the extent of embracing relentless Israeli criminality against the Palestinian people , including the ongoing genocidal ethnic cleansing in the occupied Palestinian territories, particularly in the Gaza Strip."

(Excerpt from "When it comes to Israel, Europe is hypocritical, submissive and obsequious" in Friends of Al-Aqsa, May 26, 2008, Accredited by UN Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People)

Condoning or Justifying Violence

The UN accredits and associates with NGOs that condone or justify violence against Jews either inside or outside of Israel. The violent programmatic takes various forms: the reference to killers as martyrs, support for armed or violent struggle or resistance, and the effort to redirect attention away from the violence and justify it by focusing on alleged "causes" of terrorism. Here is a sampling of the commentary made by UN accredited NGOs.

  • "More desperate means of resisting were inevitable because no people want to be annihilated, driven out or subjugated: their right to resist is enshrined in Article 51 of the United Nations Charter. The Second Intifada erupted in 2000 and while the means were often desperate and not always palatable, Israel's air bombardments and armoured tank assaults against a largely unarmed people have never been the stuff of heroic campaigns - especially not when pitched against the stones of resistance from the hands of children."

(Excerpt from "Palestinian Women and the Violence of Israel's Occupation" in Friends of Al-Aqsa, Vol. 10 No.2, Spring, 2008, Accredited by the UN Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People)

  • "Faced with the tyrannical, hostile state of Israel in their midst, frustrated and alienated by the blind, incompatible and double standards of Western policy in the area, these people have little left for them to do or lose except waste themselves in suicidal bombings and anti-west hostility."

(Excerpt from "An Anglo-Scandinavian Weekend" in Friends World Committee for Consultation, July 3-6, 2008, Accredited with Special Consultative Status with ECOSOC and associated with DPI)
