Nine UNRWA Workers Ran in PA Elections

(IsraelNN.com) At least nine workers for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) ran in recent Palestinian Authority (PA) elections, indicating that many of the U.N. workers are connected with the Hamas terrorist organization. A U.N. official wrote the candidates a letter that their running in the elections was contradictory to general policy. The candidates resigned their positions. 

UNRWA has a more critical role following decisions by Western governments to isolate Hamas. Half of the recent $144 million emergency aid approved by the European Union will go to UNRWA.
