H.E. DR. NASSER AL-KIDWA:  Thank you, Mr. Chairman.  Mr. Chairman, a few minutes ago we heard the message of President Mahmoud Abbas addressed to this solemn meeting.  We will all participate this afternoon in the important debate on the question of Palestine, therefore, I will confine myself to saying in my personal capacity as a friend of yours and a friend -- of some of the colleagues here, and also in my official capacity, I shall confine myself to expressing to you, Mr. Chairman and to the members of your august Committee and to all the Ambassadors and the colleagues who have not wavered in providing support and assistance to our just cause.  I would like to express my thanks to you all and to invite you to continue to provide this support and this backing.  I thank you, Mr. Chairman.  
I hope we will meet next year when we are closer to the achievement of the national independence and exercise of sovereignty in our state, Palestine with its capital Al-Quds.  Thank you, sir.
