CTED delegation visits Serbia

CTED visited the Republic of Serbia from 18 to 21 March 2013 as part of its ongoing work to monitor the implementation of Security Council resolution 1373 (2001) by Member States.
The visiting delegation was led by Mr. Weixiong Chen, CTED Deputy Executive Director, and inclu
ded experts from several regional and international organizations. The delegation met with H.E. Mr. Ivica Da
i , Serbia s Prime Minister and Minister of Internal Affairs; several senior Government officials; and technical experts to discuss Serbia s implem
entation of resolution 1373 (2001) and issues relating to Security Council resolution 1624 (2005).
The discussions focused notably on legislative measures to counter terrorism, the criminal justice system, counter-financing of terrorism, law enforcement and border control, relevant human rights issues, and Serbia’s planned introduction of a national counter-terrorism strategy.

mittee.
