		Note verbale dated 6 February 2007 from the Permanent 
Mission of Guatemala to the United Nations addressed to 
the Chairman of the Committee


	The Permanent Mission of Guatemala to the United Nations presents its compliments to the Chairman of the Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 1718 (2006) and, referring to the note verbale of 1 November 2006, has the honour to submit the national report of the Republic of Guatemala (see annex).

		National Report of the Republic of Guatemala

	The Government of the Republic of Guatemala has taken note of the adoption of United Nations Security Council resolution 1718 (2006) under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations.
	The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Guatemala has promptly informed the relevant authorities regarding its obligations under Security Council resolution 1718 (2006) and will take the necessary measures to ensure compliance with its obligations under paragraph 8.
