		Note verbale dated 19 January 2007 from the Permanent 
Mission of Ukraine to the United Nations addressed to the Chairman of the Committee


	The Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the United Nations presents its compliments to the Chairman of the Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 1718 (2006) and has the honour to transmit herewith information concerning the implementation of the provisions of that resolution (see annex).

		Information regarding Ukraine’s implementation of 
Security Council resolution 1718 (2006)


	Ukraine consistently devotes particular attention to ensuring that Security Council resolutions are implemented, and adheres strictly to their provisions.
	The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine promptly informed all the State executive bodies concerned of the action which must be taken pursuant to paragraph 8 of Security Council resolution 1718 (2006).
	The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has prepared a draft Order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on the implementation of Security Council resolution 1718 (2006) concerning the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. The draft Order is currently at the final stage of intragovernmental approval.
	Ukraine intends to continue its close collaboration with the Committee with the aim of fulfilling the requirements of the resolution.
