		Note verbale dated 15 May 2007 from the Permanent Mission 
of Algeria to the United Nations addressed to the Chairman of 
the Committee


	The Permanent Mission of Algeria to the United Nations presents its compliments to the Chairman of the Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 1718 (2006) and has the honour to attach the report of the Algerian Government on the implementation of Security Council resolution 1718 (2006) (see annex).

		Implementation of United Nations Security Council resolution 1718 (2006)

1.	The Government of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria has taken note of the adoption of resolution 1718 (2006) by the United Nations Security Council.
2.	It has informed the competent national authorities of the obligations which resolution 1718 imposes on Algeria, as on the entire membership of the United Nations, and has asked them to report to it on the measures taken pursuant to paragraph 8 of that resolution.
