Annex to the identical letters dated 25 May 2007 from the Chargé d’affaires a.i. of the Permanent Mission of Lebanon to the United Nations addressed to the Secretary-General and the President of the Security Council Subject: Israeli violations, acts of aggression and activities from 15 to 21 May 2007 inclusive Air violations On 15 May 2007, between 1019 hours and 1330 hours, an Israeli reconnaissance aircraft violated Lebanese airspace over the sea off al-Naqurah and circled over the South region. It then departed Lebanese airspace over `Alma al-Sha`b. Between 1144 hours and 1227 hours, four Israeli warplanes violated Lebanese airspace over Rumaysh and circled over areas of the western Bekaa, the Shuf and the South. They then departed Lebanese airspace over `Alma al-Sha`b. On 17 May 2007, between 1720 hours and 1735 hours, an Israeli reconnaissance aircraft overflew the Sixth Brigade sector (western sector) south of the Litani at high altitude. On 19 May 2007, between 1022 hours and 1125 hours, an enemy Israeli reconnaissance aircraft violated Lebanese airspace over the Shab`a farmlands. It went as far as Jubb Jannin in the western Bekaa and then headed west and circled overland between the Western Bekaa and southern border and up to 10 miles over the sea. It headed north as far as Shikka, and then returned in a southerly direction. It departed Lebanese airspace over al-Naqurah. Between 1220 hours and 1335 hours, two Israeli warplanes violated Lebanese airspace over Kafr Kila in a northerly direction as far as Tripoli. They then headed east as far as al-Qurnah al-Sawda’ and circled over areas of the North, and then headed south and circled over areas of the South. They departed Lebanese airspace over `Alma al-Sha`b. At 2159 hours, an enemy Israeli reconnaissance aircraft violated Lebanese airspace over the sea off al-Naqurah in a northerly direction as far as al-Na`imah and circled over the Na`imah and Damur areas. It headed north as far as Juniyah and then returned in a southerly direction and circled over areas of the South. It departed Lebanese airspace on 20 May 2007 at 0055 hours over al-Naqurah. At 1630 hours on 20 May 2007, Israeli military aircraft overflew the Bint Jubayl area at high altitude. On 20 May 2007, between 1620 hours and 1640 hours, two enemy Israeli warplanes violated Lebanese airspace over the sea off Tripoli and then headed in a southerly direction. They departed Lebanese airspace over Bint Jubayl. On 21 May 2007, 23 enemy Israeli reconnaissance aircraft violated Lebanese airspace and circled over the areas of Shikka, al-Arz, Batrun, Tayy al-Jawz, al-Harmal, Baalbek, Iqlim al-Kharub, Sidon and Tyre. They all departed Lebanese airspace over al-Naqurah with the exception of four aircraft over Rumaysh and two over `Alma al-Sha`b. Their activity was as follows: At 0525 hours, four planes overflew Juniyah and two overflew Batrun. At 0650 hours, two planes overflew the sea off Shikka. At 0815 hours, five planes overflew the sea off Batrun. At 0943 hours, two planes overflew the sea off Tyre. At 1234 hours, four planes overflew Kafr Kila. At 2030 hours, two planes overflew the sea off Sidon. At 2350 hours, two planes overflew the sea off Tyre. Sea violations None reported. Acts of aggression in the field On 16 May 2007, at 0500 hours, the Israeli enemy abducted a Lebanese civilian, Hisham Dalli, from inside Lebanese territory one kilometre from the Radar position (in the occupied Shab`a farmlands). He was detained and interrogated, and then handed over to Lebanese authorities through UNIFIL on 17 May 2007 at 0759 hours. On 17 May 2007, at 1850 hours, an enemy Israeli patrol in the Misgav Am settlement took three photographs of the Lebanese Army observation post in al-`Adaysah. It departed thereafter in the direction of said settlement.
