Resolution adopted by the General Assembly [on the report of the Special Political and Decolonization Committee (Fourth Committee) (A/61/409/Add.1)] 61/267. Comprehensive review of a strategy to eliminate future sexual exploitation and abuse in United Nations peacekeeping operations The General Assembly, Recalling its resolution 2006 (XIX) of 18 February 1965 and all other relevant resolutions, Recalling in particular paragraph 165 of its resolution 60/1 of 16 September 2005, and its resolutions 59/281 of 29 March 2005, 59/300 of 22 June 2005, 60/263 of 6 June 2006 and 60/289 of 8 September 2006, Reaffirming its resolution 59/296 of 22 June 2005, as well as its resolutions 59/300 and 60/263, and the need for the United Nations to implement its policy of zero tolerance of sexual exploitation and abuse in its peacekeeping operations, as recommended by the Special Committee on Peacekeeping Operations, Reaffirming also the need for a comprehensive strategy of assistance to victims of sexual exploitation and abuse by United Nations staff or related personnel, Convinced of the need for the United Nations to take strong and effective steps in this regard, 1. Welcomes the report of the Special Committee on Peacekeeping Operations on its second resumed session of 2006, held on 18 December 2006; 2.
