Proposals of India on the Non-Paper ‘ Summary of Objectives’


Bullet Point 1	- May be reformulated as follows 
“ To undertake a comprehensive assessment of the implementation of the Durban Declaration and Programme of Action  in its entirety”.


Bullet Point 3 	-  May be reformulated as follows 
	“ To  take stock of the trend of incidents of racism and racial discrimination including contemporary manifestations of the same”.

Bullet Point 7	- May be reformulated as follows 
	“ To identify ways of enhancing the effectiveness of the Committee on Elimination of Racial Discrimination and the existing Durban follow up mechanism”. 

Bullet Point 8	- May be reformulated as follows 
	“ To identify additional measures and practical solutions for combating racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance”.
