Security Council Committee established 
pursuant to resolution 1718 (2006) concerning 
the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea



		Letter dated 20 November 2006 from the Chargé d’affaires a.i. 
of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka to the 
United Nations addressed to the Chairman of the Committee


	I have the honour to refer to your note dated 1 November 2006, referring to paragraph 11 of Security Council resolution 1718 (2006).
	The Government of Sri Lanka is in the process of coordinating with a number of relevant government agencies on the steps taken to implement the provisions of paragraph 8 of the resolution. Since this process takes some time, it would be appreciated if you could grant an extension of the deadline of 13 November 2006 for submission of the report.
	The Central Bank of Sri Lanka has requested a list of persons and entities that have been designated by the Committee for the implementation of resolution 1718 (2006), enabling it to take necessary action in this regard.
