Timing: At the beginning of consideration of agenda item 6: “Review of reports, studies and other documentation for the Preparatory Committee and the Durban Review Conference and contributions of human rights bodies and mechanisms”. II. Total time available: 3 hours (from 3.00 to 6.00 p.m.) III. Panellists: Chairperson of the Intergovernmental Working Group on the effective implementation of the Durban Declaration and Programme of Action; Chairperson of the Working Group of Experts on People of African Descent; One independent eminent expert on the implementation of the Durban Declaration and Programme of Action; Two members of the Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination; Special Rapporteur on contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance; Chairperson of the Ad Hoc Committee on the elaboration of complementary international standards. IV. Time limits for statements by the panellists: 10 minutes per presentation, with total duration of 1 hour. V. The presentations by the experts will be followed by an interactive dialogue open to all participants of the session. VI. Time limit for comments/questions addressed to the experts: 3 minutes per statement, with total duration of 1 hour. VII. The panellists will then be given the possibility to answer the questions and make concluding remarks.
