COLOMBIAN REPRESENTATIVE:  Thank you very much.  Thank you very much.  My country would lik
e to reiterate its support for achieving a negotiated solution to the Middle East conflict.  We value all efforts aimed at achieving an agreement between the parties and reaching a peach between Palestine and Israel.  We reiterate the need for a direct dialogue, as the best way to attain peace and my country will continue lending its support to all initiatives aimed at reaching a result that satisfies both sides and reflects Colombia's commitment to multilateralism.
At the same time, Colombia regrets the violence that targets civilians, no matter who, in fact, is the perpetrator.  My delegation would like to reiterate its commitment to uphold human rights and we invite all countries to move forward in a constructive way in strengthening their institutional capacities to comply with the universal declaration of human rights.  Thank you very much, Mr. President.
