Office of the President of the Human Rights Council
The General Assembly, Recalling its resolution 60/251 of 15 March 2006 and Human Rights Council resolution 5/1 of 18 June 2007, Recalling also Human Rights Council decision 9/103 of 24 September 2008, and underlining the crucial importance of appropriate resources to support the work of the Council and its numerous mechanisms, Bearing in mind that the Human Rights Council meets regularly throughout the year in no fewer than three sessions per year for a total duration of no less than ten weeks, Acknowledges the recommendation of the Human Rights Council to establish an Office of the President of the Human Rights Council, and requests the Council to address the question of the establishment and the modalities of an office in the context of the review of its work and functioning five years after its establishment, in accordance with resolution 60/251.
