In the preparation of the General Assembly revitalization process we have, in our capacity as Co-chairs of the Ad Hoc Working Group on the rcvitaliz:ltion of the General Assembly, met with representatives of
different regional groups and with many other interested countries, and we úave carefullyexamined yôur proposals and ideas presented at our fîrst Working Group meetingon26 February.

Building on the resolution A/RES/63/309 and extensive input from Member States we aimed to identify a manageable list of specifrc issues in order to achieve substantial and practical results, and we therefore have the honor to propose the tentative draftprogram for our further meetings.

At our next meeting on 26 March 2010 we shall discuss the question of the implementation of General Assembly resolutions on revitalization and General Assembly working methods, including operational
and technical issues like voting and balloting.

At the meeting on 28 April we shall touch upon the role of the General Assembly and its relationship to other principal organs of the I-IN as well as the role and responsibilities of the General Assembly in the process of selection and appointment of the Secretary-General of the [IN.

At our third thematic meeting on 26 May we shall

exchange views on strengthening the institutional memory of the Offìce of the President of the General Assembly and we shall also dwell on the issue of visibility and enhanced public awareness of the work of the General Assembly.

As Co-Chairs, we would like to renew our commitment to build upon resolutions adopted by the General Assembly on the issue of the'revitalization of the work of the General Assembly, and to honor the principle of inclusiveness and transparency in our common endeavors to achieve tangible results in the Ad Hoc Working Gioup during this current session of the General Assembly.
We look forward to the active participation of member States in the meetings ahead.
