Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 1591 (2005) concerning the Sudan Note verbale dated 22 January 2007 from the Permanent Mission of Egypt to the United Nations addressed to the Committee The Permanent Mission of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the United Nations presents its compliments to the Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 1591 (2005) concerning the Sudan and, with reference to the note of the Committee Chairman dated 24 November 2006, regarding resolution 1672 (2006) of 25 April 2006, by which the Council designated four individuals as subject to targeted sanctions, the Permanent Mission of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the United Nations wishes to inform the Committee of the following: (a) Egypt is completely committed to Security Council resolutions 1591 (2005) and 1672 (2006) concerning the sanctions imposed on the parties to the conflict in the Sudan; (b) Egypt is always ready to cooperate with the panel of experts on the Sudan to provide any available information on violations of the Security Council resolutions in this regard.
