Annex to the identical letters dated 27 October 2006 from the Chargé d’affaires a.i. of the Permanent Mission of Lebanon to the United Nations addressed to the Secretary-General and the President of the Security Council Date: 21 October 2006 Summary Israeli violations and acts of aggression that took place between 15 October 2006 and 22 October 2006 Air violations Between 1100 hours and 1415 hours on 17 October 2006, an enemy Israeli reconnaissance aircraft violated Lebanese airspace and overflew the area of Bint Jbeil. Between 2055 hours and 2110 hours on the same day, an enemy Israeli reconnaissance aircraft violated Lebanese airspace and overflew Jabal Maroun (north-west of Borj Qalaouay). Between 2315 hours on 17 October 2006 and 0215 hours on 18 October 2006, an enemy Israeli reconnaissance aircraft violated Lebanese airspace and overflew the sea off Al-Bayada. It circled over the areas of Bint Jbeil, Al-Bayada, Rmaich, Aalma al-Chaab and Al-Naqoura and left Lebanese airspace over Aalma al-Chaab. Between 0945 hours and 1000 hours on 18 October 2006, an enemy Israeli reconnaissance aircraft violated Lebanese airspace and circled over Jabal Maroun (north-west of Borj Qalaouay). Between 1005 hours and 1312 hours on the same day, an enemy Israeli reconnaissance aircraft violated Lebanese airspace and overflew the sea near the area of Al-Bayada in an easterly direction. It circled over the southern areas and left Lebanese airspace over Aalma al-Chaab. Between 1300 hours and 1445 hours on the same day, enemy Israeli warplanes violated Lebanese airspace and overflew, at very high altitude, the areas of AlNaqoura and Bint Jbeil. Between 1359 hours and 1615 hours on the same day, an enemy Israeli reconnaissance aircraft violated Lebanese airspace and overflew the sea off the city of Sour in an easterly direction. It circled over the southern areas and left Lebanese airspace over Aalma al-Chaab. Land violations Between 1020 hours and 1755 hours on 15 October 2006, six Israeli civilians entered Lebanese territory headed towards a former resistance outpost in the town of Al-Ghajar. Between 0925 hours and 1830 hours on 17 October 2006, four Israeli civilians entered Lebanese territory headed towards a former resistance outpost in the town of Al-Ghajar. At 1200 hours on the same day, enemy Israeli troops were operating an excavator on the side of the road near the barbed-wire fence inside occupied Palestinian territory opposite the towns of Kfar Kila and Aadaisse. They proceeded, in the presence of a Spanish patrol operating as part of the United Nation Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), to extend the excavator’s arm over the aforementioned fence into Lebanese territory and dug a passage to collect the rainwater without going through the fence. At 0800 hours on 18 October 2006, a cluster bomb left behind in the wake of the Israeli aggression exploded, hitting livestock on the outskirts of the town of Blida. Between 1305 hours and 1735 hours on the same day, three Israeli civilians entered Lebanese territory headed towards a former resistance outpost in the town of Al-Ghajar. At 2245 hours on the same day, enemy Israeli troops carried out night exercises inside occupied Palestinian territory along the line between Metulla settlement and the Shab’a Farms. At 2245 hours, those troops fired a flare shell from their headquarters in the occupied Shab’a Farms. At 2310 hours, vehicles were heard moving inside the occupied Palestinian territories opposite the town of Ramiye. Between 0950 hours and 1650 hours on 19 October 2006, four Israeli civilians entered Lebanese territory headed towards a former resistance outpost in the town of Al-Ghajar. At 1515 hours on 20 October 2006, a cluster bomb left behind in the wake of the recent Israeli aggression exploded, injuring Ibrahim Salmani on his left foot. He was taken to Jabal Amil Hospital for treatment.
