Annex to the identical letters dated 5 March 2007 from the Chargé d’affaires a.i. of the Permanent Mission of Lebanon to the United Nations addressed to the Secretary-General and the President of the Security Council Re: Israeli violations, acts of aggression and activities from 22 to 28 February 2007, inclusive Air violations On 22 February 2007, between 0649 hours and 0935 hours, an enemy Israeli reconnaissance aircraft violated Lebanese airspace over the sea off Biyada and circled over areas of the South and between al-Na`ima and Khalda. It then departed Lebanese airspace over al-Naqura. On the same date, between 0959 hours and 1400 hours, an enemy Israeli reconnaissance aircraft violated Lebanese airspace over the sea off Biyada in an easterly direction and circled over regions of the South. It then departed Lebanese airspace over al-Naqura. On 24 February 2007, between 0818 hours and 0925 hours, an enemy Israeli reconnaissance aircraft violated Lebanese airspace over the sea off Tyre in an easterly direction and circled over the southern regions. It then departed Lebanese airspace over `Alma al-Sha`b. On 28 February 2007, between 1500 hours and 1900 hours, an enemy Israeli reconnaissance aircraft violated Lebanese airspace over the sea off al-Naqura in an easterly direction and circled over the southern regions. It then departed Lebanese airspace over al-Naqura. Sea violations None reported. Field violations On 23 February 2007, at 1149 hours, in the vicinity of Fatima Gate at Kafr Kila, while a Lebanese Army foot patrol (lam mim 11) was moving along the buffer strip, an enemy Israeli forces Hummer vehicle came from the opposite direction. Three personnel alighted from it and proceeded to load their weapons and aim them in the direction of the Army patrol personnel, who in turn proceeded to load their weapons and take up combat positions. This prompted the enemy personnel to disappear into neighbouring groves. Israeli activities On 22 February 2007, between 1430 hours and 1525 hours, two enemy Israeli helicopters overflew the Fashkul outpost inside the occupied Shab`a farmlands. On 23 February 2007, between 1100 hours and 1155 hours, enemy Israeli helicopters overflew the occupied Shab`a farmlands. The sound of several rounds of fire was also heard intermittently inside said farmlands. On the same date, at 1514 hours, the sound of five explosions was heard in the area around Ruwaysat al-`Alam inside said farmlands. On the same date, between 1905 hours and 1935 hours, from the Ramta outpost inside the occupied Shab`a farmlands, enemy forces proceeded to strafe the area around said outpost with medium-weapons. On the same date, between 1905 hours and 1950 hours, an enemy Israeli military launch in the open sea of Ra’s al-Naqura (inside regional Palestinian waters) fired a flare bomb and several rounds of medium-weapons fire over said waters. On 24 February 2007, between 0500 hours and 0715 hours, an enemy Israeli military launch fired several rounds of medium-weapons fire in the open sea off Ra’s al-Naqura. On the same date, between 1120 hours and 1210 hours, enemy Israeli aircraft overflew the occupied Shab`a farmlands. The sound of vehicle movement was also heard inside the Fashkul outpost in said farmlands. On the same date, at 1959 hours, the UNIFIL liaison unit reported that the enemy Israeli army opened fire with light weapons in the open sea south of the line of buoys off the Sixth Infantry Battalion sector. On 25 February 2007, between 1050 hours and 1315 hours, enemy Israeli forces fired several rounds of medium-weapons fire from their position at Ruwaysat al-Alam in the direction of Birkat al-Naqqar inside the occupied Shab`a farmlands. On 26 February 2007, at 0920 hours, the sound of an explosion was heard across from Ra’s al-Naqura inside occupied Palestinian territory. On the same date, between 1000 hours and 1300 hours, enemy Israeli forces performed maintenance on a cement emplacement in the al-Labuna area inside occupied Palestinian territory across from al-Naqura. On 27 February 2007, at 1500 hours, an enemy Israeli military launch fired several rounds of medium-weapons fire in the open sea off Ra’s al-Naqura. On 28 February 2007, at 0730 hours, and between 0930 hours and 0945 hours, the sound of several explosions was heard inside occupied Palestinian territory of Ra’s al-Naqura. On the same date, between 0930 hours and 1630 hours, a crane belonging to the Israeli enemy inside position ghayn-6 inside occupied Palestinian territory (across from al-Labuna) engaged in maintenance work on a transmission tower. On the same date, between 1305 hours and 1525 hours, the sound of tracked vehicle movement was heard between the Ramta and Sammaqa outposts belonging to the Israeli enemy inside the occupied Shab`a farmlands.
