		Identical letters dated 29 August 2006 from the Chargé d’ affaires a.i. of the Permanent Mission of Lebanon to the United Nations
addressed to the Secretary-General and the President of the
Security Council


	On instructions from my Government, I transmit to you herewith a list of Israeli acts of aggression against Lebanon that took place on 28 and 29 August 2006 (see annex). 
	I should be grateful if you would have this letter and its annex circulated as a document of the General Assembly, under agenda item 14, and of the Security Council.

the Chargé d’ affaires a.i. of the Permanent Mission of 
Lebanon to the United Nations addressed to the 
Secretary-General and the President of the Security Council 


		Subject:	Israeli violations and acts of aggression committed against
Lebanon from 8 a.m. on 28 August 2006 to 8 a.m. on 29 August 2006


		Air violations:

	Seven air violations by reconnaissance aircraft and warplanes belonging to the Israeli enemy were recorded. They were carried out over the various regions of Lebanon and involved a total of 4 reconnaissance aircraft, a number of warplanes and a helicopter.

		Land violations:

	At 1825 hours a number of explosions were heard east of Labboune.
	As a result of the use by the Israeli enemy of cluster bombs on residential areas during its attacks on Lebanon, numerous explosions of such bombs have been recorded, resulting in the wounding of one person during the above-mentioned period, as follows:
	A cluster bomb left by the Israeli enemy exploded in Al-Soultaniye, resulting in the wounding of Hussein Qadduh (aged 18 years) on the chest and head.
