(Signed) Caroline Ziade Chargé d’affaires a.i. Annex to the identical letters dated 27 September 2006 from the Chargé d’affaires a.i. of the Permanent Mission of Lebanon to the United Nations addressed to the Secretary-General and the President of the Security Council Israeli violations and acts of aggression against Lebanon from 0800 hours on 26 September 2006 to 0800 hours on 27 September 2006 From 0800 hours on 26 September 2006 to 0800 hours on 27 September 2006, despite the United Nations Security Council resolution calling for a cessation of hostilities as of 0800 hours on 14 August 2006, acts of aggression and land violations by the Israeli enemy continued. Land violations At 0930 hours, an enemy Israeli forces group consisting of five Merkava tanks and two Hummer vehicles advanced and set up a roadblock at the Marouahine junction near the international observer outpost. They checked the identity papers of passers-by and detained engineer Husayn Fawwaz and two foreign journalists, whom they then released at 1300 hours. The two Hummer vehicles returned in the direction of occupied Palestinian territory and the tanks headed towards Jabal Blat east of Marouahine. At 1100 hours, two bulldozers belonging to the Israeli enemy raised an earthen berm (approximately 300 metres in length) north of the town of Ghajar inside Lebanese territory and laid barbed wire in front of it. At 1130 hours, an Israeli bulldozer entered Lebanese territory at Khallet Ouarde on the outskirts of Aaita al-Chaab and proceeded to bulldoze earth and move it to occupied territory. sss1 \* MERGEFORMAT A/61/473 sss2 \* MERGEFORMAT S/2006/772 sss1 \* MERGEFORMAT A/61/473 sss2 \* MERGEFORMAT S/2006/772 FooterJN \* MERGEFORMAT 06-54315 \* MERGEFORMAT 2 \* MERGEFORMAT 1 FooterJN \* MERGEFORMAT 06-54315 United Nations A/61/473–S/2006/772 General Assembly Security Council Distr.: General 28 September 2006 English Original: Arabic jobn \* MERGEFORMAT 06-54315 (E) 290906 290906 Barcode \* MERGEFORMAT *0654315*
