		Letter dated 20 April 2006 from the Permanent Representative of Malaysia to the United Nations addressed to the President of the General Assembly


	In my capacity as Chairman of the Coordinating Bureau of the Non-Aligned Movement, I have the honour to convey to you the position of the Non-Aligned Movement that the eighth Secretary-General of the United Nations, who will succeed Kofi A. Annan of Ghana, shall be selected from a State Member of the United Nations from the Asian region.
	I should be grateful if you would have the present letter circulated as a document of the General Assembly, under item 101 of the preliminary list.
