Report of the Human Rights Council



		Namibia:* amendments to draft resolution A/C.3/61/L.18/Rev.1


		Working group of the Commission on Human Rights to elaborate a draft declaration in accordance with paragraph 5 of 
General Assembly resolution 49/214 of 23 December 1994


1.	In operative paragraph 1, delete the words “and to the Human Rights Council for the adoption of the text of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples”.
2.	Replace operative paragraph 2 with the following:
		2.	Decides to defer consideration and action on the United Nations 	Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples to allow time for further 	consultations thereon; 
3.	Insert a new operative paragraph 3 reading:
		3.	Also decides to conclude its consideration of the Declaration before 	the end of its sixty-first session.

	*	On behalf of States Members of the United Nations that are members of the Group of African States.
