of Romania to the United Nations addressed to the President 
of the General Assembly


	The Permanent Mission of Romania to the United Nations presents its compliments to the President of the General Assembly and, in response to the note dated 4 April 2006 announcing Romania’s candidature to the Human Rights Council, has the honour to present a document detailing Romania’s contribution to the promotion and protection of human rights as well as its voluntary pledges and commitments in accordance with General Assembly resolution 60/251 (see annex).
