Letter dated 17 May 2006 from the Secretary-General addressed to the President of the Security Council I have the honour to refer to resolution 1665 (2006) concerning the Sudan, adopted by the Security Council on 29 March 2006. The Council decided in paragraph 1 of that resolution to extend until 29 September 2006 the mandate of the Panel of Experts appointed pursuant to resolution 1591 (2005) and requested me to take the necessary administrative measures.
