An NGO affiliated with the terror group Hamas has been given a platform at the UN Human Rights Council to attempt to delegitimize Israel's creation and very existence. Despite having known ties to Hamas, the Palestinian Return Centre was given UN-accreditation in July 2015, which entitles it to submit written statements, as well as to make oral statements, for consideration at the UN Human Rights Council. The Palestinian Return Centre accuses Israel of "apartheid" and "ethnic cleansing" in a written statement to the UN Human Rights Council under the infamous agenda item 7, the permanent agenda item dedicated solely to the antisemitic targeting of the Jewish state, which is scheduled for debate on June 19, 2017.
In the words of the statement:
"The Palestinian Return Centre (PRC) is concerned about the devastating failure of international community to exert real pressure on Israel, the occupying power, to bring its actions in line with its obligations under international humanitarian law and UN resolutions. Inside the occupied territories and Israel, Palestinians continue to suffer from Israel's illegal military occupation, colonial policies and apartheid regime... Between 1947 and 1949, Jewish-Israeli military forces ethnically cleansed at least 750,000 Palestinians from what became the state of Israel – some 85% of the indigenous Palestinian population."
