Human Rights Voices

While the UN devotes its human rights operations to the demonization of the democratic state of Israel above all others and condemns the United States more often than the vast majority of non-democracies around the world, the voices of real victims around the world must be heard.

Israeli Killed In Truck Hit-And-Run After Rocks Hit His Car Near Hebron

An Israeli national was killed in a hit and run truck incident near a Palestinian village in the Hebron area, Magen David Adom said on Tuesday.

According to an initial check by security forces, Palestinians hurled rocks at the man's car. He stopped the vehicle, got out, and was struck by the truck.

According to Palestinian media reports, the Palestinian driver whose vehicle struck the man turned himself into the Palestinian police in nearby Daharia, in the South Hebron Hills, claiming that it was an accident and that he had not intended to hit the man.

Paramedics administered emergency treatment to a 50-year-old Jewish man who suffered critical injuries near the village of Al-Fawar.

Magen David Adom released a statement to the press saying that attempts to resuscitate the man failed, and first aid personnel pronounced the man dead just after 1 p.m. on Tuesday.

"When we got to the area, we saw a car," said MDA paramedic Eyal Mor-Yosef. "Next to the car was a man in his 50s lying unconscious. He had no pulse and no breath."

"There were injuries to critical bodily systems," the paramedic said. "Attempts to save his life were made before we were forced to pronounce him dead."

Security forces were on the scene and were seeking to gain additional details on the incident.

Earlier on Tuesday, a Palestinian terrorist stabbed and lightly wounded an IDF officer near the West Bank town of Bet Awwa, close to the Green Line and near the southern Israeli district of Lakhish.

Soldiers nearby shot and killed the attacker.

Magen David Adom paremdics said the soldier sustained a very light injury in the attack.
