The UN-NGO Connection:
A Global Platform to Spread Hate and Promote Terror

2017

UN-accredited NGOs disseminate the hatred of Jews and the Jewish state. It is a message which is diametrically opposed to the purposes and principles of the United Nations. Here are their words.

Inciting Hate or Encouraging Anti-Semitism

The UN accredits and associates with NGOs that espouse anti-semitism. The anti-semitism takes various forms: demeaning remarks about Jews, abhorrence of the presence of Jews or so-called "Judaization", minimizing the Holocaust, claiming anti-semitism is feigned or grossly exaggerated, attempting to appropriate the language of Jew-hatred and apply anti-semitism to Arabs, denying that anti-zionism or the denial of the right of Jewish self-determination is a form of anti-semitism, equating Zionism with racism (see also Section II). One favorite of UN-accredited or associated NGOs is to highlight self-hating Jews or Jewish anti-semites, or to represent that this tiny minority are the only liberal and decent Jews. Here is a sampling of the commentary made by UN accredited NGOs.

  • "The Palestinian Holocaust is unsurpassed in history...no doubt the ugliest crime of modern times."

(Excerpt from "Palestinian Right to Return. Sacred, Legal and Possible," by Salman Abu Sitta, May 1999, Palestinian Return Centre, Accredited with Special Consultative Status by ECOSOC and accredited by CEIRPP)

  • "Yesterday's victims have become today's oppressors. Haunted by their bitter experience in Europe, Zionist Jews have gone as far as pursuing the policy of their own oppressors, the Nazis."

(Excerpt from "Jerusalem During Muslim Rule," by Azzam Tamim, April 1999, Accredited by CEIRPP)

  • "US Congress...constituents have not, as of yet, made their representatives' slavish attachment to Zionist lobby money and influence a voting issue. When will they do so? Perhaps soon after it is brought home to them that Israel, the 'democracy', has an unsavoury resemblance to Alabama or Georgia in the 1930s and 1940s. If the settler rabbis have their way this likeness will grow rapidly and thus become harder to hide. Through their sacrilegious misreading of the Talmud, these holy men appear anxious to bless lynching on all days of the week except the Sabbath."

(Excerpt from "Israel and those 'real democratic rights'," Palestinian Return Centre, Accredited with Special Consultative Status by ECOSOC and accredited by CEIRPP)

  • "[T]he actions of the Israelis speak hundreds, thousands of times stronger about terror, murder, massacres, torture, racism, genocide - about the removal of a people from their indigenous land. From the early 19th Century statements about the need to displace Arabs, supported by biblical quotations and interpretations that the difference in the souls of non-Jews are different than those of the Jews is 'deeper than the difference between a human soul and the souls of cattle' (although this is a 20th Century reference); that the 'souls of non-Jews come entirely from the female satanic sphere...created without [divine] knowledge...an earthly embodiment of Satan;' to the modern development of genetically engineered chemical warfare, searching for a particular 'Arab' gene (but unfortunately for the Israelis the Palestinians are also a Semitic people): Zionists have consistently displayed a full contempt and racist hatred of the 'other' that translates into the murder and maiming of children...From these religious rationalizations, from the self-serving belief that they are god's chosen people, the 'bland assumption of a divine promise breeds an arrogance which institutionalizes the inferiority of other peoples and generates atrocities against them with alarming regularity.'"

(Excerpt from "The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine," 2006, Palestinian Return Centre, Accredited with Special Consultative Status by ECOSOC and accredited by CEIRPP)

  • "Demanding that Palestinians recognize a Jewish Israel...It is important to be aware of what hides behind the Israeli demand ...[T]hey use to justify mortal sins...[A] radical, racist and bigoted auto-seclusion...[I]t allows the Zionist movement to clean its hands of the ethnic cleansing perpetrated by its different institutions during and after the Nakba of 1948..."

(Excerpt from "JPRS: Palestinian Refugees in the shadow of the demand for 'Israel's Jewishness'," Palestinian Return Centre, Accredited with Special Consultative Status by ECOSOC and accredited by CEIRPP)

  • "So I think a question that I would like to see answered or a general opinion is, is the Jewish religion being exploited for economic gains by a key elite segment within Israeli society? And are they the ones that are driving this conflict..."

(Excerpt from "Oral Statement by Al-Haq, UN Forum to Mark Fifty Years of Occupation," June 29, 2017, Al-Haq, Accredited by ECOSOC and by CEIRPP)

  • "Another fact is the steady decline in the number of Jews adhering to the Jewish identity... Deteriorating economy and theocracy in a situation of continued wars, taking upon itself the status of an occupying racist power ruled by the racist Talmud is not a state for Jews to be proud of. This racist state has the very seeds for self destruction like all apartheid regimes that fell apart."

(Excerpt from "About Jewish Reverse Immigration," by Asad Abdul Rahman, May 12, 2015, Arab Thought Forum, Accredited by CEIRPP)

  • "Much of the Israeli economy is controlled by a select number of holding companies, or groups, or families. And these issues, I think, allow us to look at this issue of the economic interests...The Jewish community as a whole when this issue of economics playing a role in perpetuating the conflict leads to the question...[I]s this conflict continuing in order to line the pockets of key individuals? And is the Jewish faith being used and exploited in the same way that the natural resources of Palestine are being exploited to achieve these ends?"

(Excerpt from "Oral Statement by Al-Haq, UN Forum to Mark Fifty Years of Occupation," June 30, 2017, Al-Haq, Accredited by ECOSOC and by CEIRPP)

  • "Palestinians are punished by Israel with...execution, apartheid, genocide...The consecutive wars, aggressions and invasion of their territory by Israel...have allowed Israel to extend its claws...In their imperialist drive, they convert young Israeli soldiers into cruel criminals [from] whom Palestinian children must die..."

(Excerpt from "Resisting, Palestinian prisoners strengthen the struggle for liberation," May 14, 2017, World Peace Council, Accredited by CEIRPP)

  • "...International Deception. Tarek El-Shimi, the correspondent of Abu Dhabi Channel...posed the question: what do we call the distortion of the Arab image, and the degradation of the black's image, compared to the attribution of brilliance and supremacy to the Jews."

(Excerpt from "In Ibn Roshd Salon: With the Exception of Imported Technology, How Has Arab Media Changed between June 1967 and April 2003?," Cairo Institute for Human Rights Studies, Accredited by ECOSOC)

  • "The Israeli cabinet unanimously approved a draft law to Judaize the city of Jerusalem...The Israeli government can not use the annexation of Jerusalem to apply the racist policies on the Jerusalemites."

(Excerpt from "Oral statement by BADIL, Agenda Item 7, 34th Session of the United Nations Human Rights Council," March 20, 2017, BADIL Resource Center for Palestinian Residency and Refugee Rights, Accredited by ECOSOC)

  • "[T]he World Bank's latest report on Palestine... outlines the mutual interest of global capital and the Zionist occupation, vigorously promoting a vision of 'economic development' that legitimizes, relies on and provides financial support for the long-term Apartheid system on which the Zionist project of expulsion is based."

(Excerpt from "The World Bank, International Aid and The Ghettoization of Palestine," by The Grassroots Palestinian Anti-Apartheid Wall Campaign, Autumn 2005, Friends of Al-Aqsa, Accredited by CEIRPP)

  • "More than fifty years after the holocaust, Jews around the world continue to fight for and receive restitution for material and non-material losses inflicted by the Nazi regime throughout Europe. More than fifty years after the Palestinian people were displaced and dispossessed by an exclusive Jewish state established in Palestine in the aftermath of Nazi atrocities in Europe, Palestinians are still being dispossessed, dispersed, and denied any kind of restitution. Restitution is a universal human right. Persons now fighting for restitution are therefore to be supported."

(Excerpt from "RESTITUTION Campaign," Summer 1999, BADIL Resource Center for Palestinian Residency and Refugee Rights, Accredited by ECOSOC)

  • "The horror that both the Jews and the Palestinians have faced is unparalleled and has resulted in a state of psycho-trauma...One of these psycho-traumas is the Holocaust in which 6 million European Jews were annihilated at the hands of the Nazi party, its state apparatus and allies. The other trauma is the forced displacement of 750,000 Palestinians in 1948 from their ancestral homeland by the Israel Haganah [the pre-state militant force that was the precursor of the Israel Defense Forces]."

(Excerpt from "The Report of the Middle East Study Committee as Approved by the 219TH General Assembly (2010) and 220TH General Assembly (2012)," Presbyterian Church USA, Accredited with Special Consultative Status by ECOSOC, accredited by CEIRPP, and associated with DPI (square brackets in original))

  • "[W]e present these crimes that stand for themselves for the brutality of the Israeli Army and the heartlessness of its soldiers who seem to have a thirst for blood...It is interesting to notice that today's media does not dwell on these crimes as they do on the Holocaust."

(Excerpt from "Homepage," Palestinian Return Centre, Accredited with Special Consultative Status by ECOSOC and accredited by CEIRPP)

  • "Some members of Congress who applauded Netanyahu in a scene that reminded me of the enthusiasm for Hitler at Nazi rallies accused Obama of betraying Israel...The many members of Congress who read from Zionism's script and dance to its tune in order to secure election campaign funds and organized Jewish votes in tight races are not merely stooges...[T]hey really are: traitors... Memo to all concerned in Congress and the White House...Israel is a Zionist state. It will only be a Jewish state when it has completed its ethnic cleansing programme."

(Excerpt from "Barack Obama is the wrong target," by Alan Hart, Palestinian Return Centre, Accredited with Special Consultative Status by ECOSOC and accredited by CEIRPP)

  • "[T]he Congress is bought and paid for, as we saw with the [2014] vote in which 100 senators, like wind-up AIPAC dolls, trotted out to cheerlead not an act of war, but an act of mass murder [in Gaza]."

(Excerpt from "Talking BDS with Chris Hedges," The Jerusalem Fund, Accredited by CEIRPP (second and third pairs of square brackets in original))

  • "'The Jewish character is really a euphemism for the Zionist discriminatory statutes of the State of Israel... The UN is under no more of legal obligation to maintain Zionism in Israel than it is to maintain apartheid in the Republic of South Africa.'... One must conclude that the cliché 'Jewish character' is meant to justify keeping the land and expelling its people."

(Excerpt from "The Return of the Refugees; the Key to Peace," by Salman H. Abu-Sitta, November/December 2000, Palestinian Refugee ResearchNet, Accredited by CEIRPP, last accessed October 15, 2017)

  • "The ceremony to be held in central London will focus primarily on the Jewish victims of the Nazi Holocaust...Forgotten is the Israeli Holocaust against Palestinians that began in 1948 when three quarters of a million civilians were systematically ethnically cleansed, and hundreds of Arab villages reduced to rubble. This Holocaust has continued unceasingly to this day..."

(Excerpt from "Holocaust Victims Forgotten," January 25, 2001, Islamic Human Rights Commission, Accredited with Special Consultative Status by ECOSOC and accredited by CEIRPP)

  • "Dr Salman Abu Sitta gave a ground-breaking presentation...He urged young British people to follow in the footsteps of their parents and grandparents who opposed the Nazis and Fascists in Europe in the 1930s and 40s and oppose the Nakba."

Condoning or Justifying Violence

The UN accredits and associates with NGOs that condone or justify violence against Jews either inside or outside of Israel. The violent programmatic takes various forms: the reference to killers as martyrs, support for armed or violent struggle or resistance, and the effort to redirect attention away from the violence and justify it by focusing on alleged "causes" of terrorism. Here is a sampling of condoning, justifying and promoting violent extremism by UN-accredited NGOs.

  • "We also urge the U.S. government to consider removing Hamas from its list of terrorist organizations... When people believe that their voices are being heard, they do not feel the need to resort to the types of actions that others believe to be terror."
